Turfgrass EasyGreen Family

Each roll of turfgrass covers 0.8 m2. It is 0.4m wide and 2m long and it weights between 15 and 25 kg (depending on the moisture levels in the soil), it is 2.5cm thick (+/- 1cm).  One pallet holds enough rolls to cover 40-50m2 and it weighs roughly one ton.

It is important to lay the grass on well prepared and fertile soil (topsoil should be at least 13cm deep). Anything up to 50m2 can be put down by one person within one day. Anything up to 300m2 can be put down by a family or group of friends, if they are familiar with gardening jobs. However, anything that is larger than 300m2 we recommend contracting professional landscapers.

The recommended mowing heights for EasyGreen Family turfgrass is 3.5 to 6.0 cm.

Rolls of grass are delivered on pallets. Once the delivery has been received these pallets become the property of the client. Pallets can be returned, but it must be arranged beforehand.

EasyGreen family turfgrass is suitable for sunny area and partial shade (for example – thin pine grow). Make sure that top layer or topsoil is well prepared, at a depth of 15cm. EasyGreen Family turfgrass requires regular maintenance – mowing, feeding, and watering.

EasyGreen family turfgrass includes 3 types of grass seed. These have been specially selected and mixed at the right proportion to give our clients the best results. They complement each other.

• Kentucky bluegrass or smooth meadow grass (Poa Pratensis). It is hard wearing, it can regenerate, and, of course, it is Winter hardy. This species develops strong underground root system, therefore can fill up any bare patches. Requires regular maintenance and feeding. It is slightly darker than the other grass cultivars.
• Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium Perenne). It grows at a fast rate, and it is by far the most used grass species. Features beautiful green leaf with a glossy underside. It is hardwearing so suitable for active lawn owners. This cultivar requires regular maintenance, feeding and moisture.
• Red Fescue (Festuca Rubra). It is the hardiest species out of the three, widespread and very common in most grass habitats. Germination takes roughly 3 weeks. Red Fescue is fine – leaved perennial grass. It’s fine, bristle – like leaves create fine and dense lawns. Red fescue is reasonably hardwearing, it is slow to recover after Winter and because it produces more side shoots it can create thatch. This might be the only species left in the lawn if there are poor growing conditions or it has not been maintained properly.

Because of this special mix, our EasyGreen Family turfgrass is the most suitable for wide range of uses. It will stand some hard wearing but also look good. Providing good lawn maintenance it will last for years. The recommended mowing height is 3.5cm to 6.0cm.
